Join our dynamic Community Engagement Team, "The Core," and become a pivotal force in our work across Corporate Events, Grassroots Outreach, Concerts, and Festivals. As a Brand Ambassador for Vera Creative, you will be the face of our organization and our clients. This is an integrated role in which you will act as a spokesperson, community advocate, and event specialist. We are looking for versatile individuals who are passionate about making an impact across all neighborhoods of Chicago!
The Role
In this unified role, you will represent "The Core" across three main environments: brand activation, grassroots outreach, and corporate events. Your goal is to elevate visibility and build authentic connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Brand Representation: Act as a positive, enthusiastic representative at concerts and promotional activities; provide product samples and insights to potential customers.
- Community Advocacy: Effectively communicate organizational goals to diverse groups, address community concerns, and capture quantitative and qualitative data.
- Event Logistics: Support corporate conferences by managing registration, welcoming attendees, and providing proactive problem-solving to ensure a smooth experience.
- Professionalism: Maintain a clean work environment (including food handling when applicable) and ensure all client ideologies are accurately represented.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual proficiency (Spanish/English) is a strong plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from various event locations.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Prior customer service experience is advantageous.
- Content Creation: Ability to capture compelling social media content while on-site at events.
- Chicago natives from the South and West sides, as well as Black and Brown community members, are strongly encouraged to apply.
Commitment & Compensation
- Rate: $20/Hour (Starting)
- Status: 1099 Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Mandatory commitment to work at least two (2) Fridays and Saturdays per month.
